Thank you, Dad.
For all you did.
We will not be sad,
But grateful for the life you lived,
And the sound worthy legacies you have left behind.
Adieu.

  1. Adieu Pa J.O.O. OJELEYE
Though we are sad that you have left us, but we praise God for your life. Many thanks daddy Ojeleye for a well lived life with great examples for us to follow.
Till we meet again Daddy, a peaceful rest we pray for you.

    Bola Ojewole and family.

  2. Baba Ojeleye as we fondly called him was an asset and a strong pillar of support for all progressive associations in Gbongan. We were indeed proud of his mentorship. I worked under his principalship as a teacher for years. He was a role model.
May his illustrious soul rest in the bosom of the Lord. Amen

  3. EXIT OF A TITAN
Overseer Dr. Joseph Olalere Omolayo Ojeleye and our father, Oba Dr. Solomon Oyewole Babayemi, late Olufi of Gbongan were lifelong friends and confidants.
Their friendship blossomed from the 1950 as young men into choosing their careers as teachers, choice of life partners, marriage and starting their families. The adage “It takes a village to raise a child” rings true in our case. In growing up, Pa Ojeleye was that figure that reinforced those values of good character, hard work, integrity, reason, and compassion, for which he and his friend, our father stood for. His mere presence was enough to bring calm to any situation, no matter how tense. During his reign and even after Kabiyesi passed on in 1997, Pa Ojeleye and his family remained a bastion of emotional and spiritual support to our family.
For our family, it is a big loss and truly, the exit of the last of our Titans.
On behalf of our mother, Olori Florence Waleade Ajoke Babayemi, my siblings, and the entire Akinrinola Royal Family of Gbongan, I condole with the family and friends of Pa Ojeleye.
We wish Baba sweet repose in the bosom of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
E sun re o, Baba rere!

  4. Words cannot express how much I love you and will miss you. You are a perfect example of a father, but it all ended on the 28th of August 2021 at 7:35 am when you answered your creator. To me, it was like a dream because you were in my arms when you had your last breath. But your words of advice both in the morning and at night will forever be in our heart, and your saying “bi eyin ba fe ti e si gboran e o je ere ile na” will forever be imprinted in our hearts. Thank you for being a blessing. I love you so much, Daddy. Baba sun re o.

  5. Undisputable rare Gem.those who came you know your worth.teacher of teachers, mentor of mentors,a real role model a strict disciplinarian with track record of truth, righteousness, godliness, humility and honesty.we thank God for your life.death is inevitable if not you could have taught death on how not to kill but to spare.Adieu and rest in peace in the bossom of the Almighty

  6. Should it occur to me, on the 18th of August when I quickly came home from campus to check on you, that it would be the last time you would speak to me, the last time you would eat my food, I would have engaged you more in talking like we should do.
I count it as a rare privilege to be the last man you trained. Faith, Integrity, Honesty and hardworking were always your watchword.
You fought a good fight and kept the faith. You have left a mantle for us, and we won’t let you down. We will continue to build on the foundations you have laid and on the record, you have built over the years.
I thank God for a life well spent.
Goodnight is too big a word for me to say. Continue to rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ, Daddy.

  7. O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory(1 Corinthians 15:55).
When will I hear that voice again that calls “omoooooo”? Your death came as a shock because I never thought you would leave us so soon, but who are we to question the Almighty.
We will never forget all you’ve impacted in our lives and the good legacy you left behind.
You will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace, Daddy.

  8. Baba Ojeleye, you lived a life worthy of emulation. As our school principal at Gbongan High School, which you pioneered, you taught us hard work, honesty, integrity and Godliness. Then many did not understand that you were preparing us for future challenges and how we could overcome them. You enforced discipline without fear or favour, even to your detriment. Baba, you left a legacy that cannot be obliterated in the heart of your former students and GCHS. We shall never forget your good work. We pray that God Almighty will grant you eternal rest, and we shall all meet at the feet of our Lord Jesus when he comes back. Adieu!

  9. Though I don’t know Baba in person, I heard about the immeasurable good life he lived through my boss – Elder Soji Oloyede.
    Sleep well, Dad. R. I. P.

  10. On behalf of my family and the entire GOAGS old student (1965/69), Baba, go home in peace.
Oluwa yo te yin si afefe rere o. AMIN.

  11. On behalf of Opoola and Akinpelu families, I am saddened by the death of our papa. We love you, but God loves you most.
Adieu, Papa. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

  13. We so much love you, Daddy, but we take solace in God who gives and takes.
    Good night Daddy.

  14. Baba, you left a good legacy behind for us. You came, you saw and conquered.
Baba you took me up as your daughter when I was introduced to you as the new principal of Gbongan/Odeomu in 2014. Since then, I have never regretted knowing and meeting you. You shared your life experiences which helped me in navigating Gbongan/Odeomu School of Science.
Baba you added value to life. Sun re, Baba Ojeleye.

  15. “Anyone who believes in me, even though he dies like anyone else, shall live again.”
Pa Dr Overseer Joseph Ojeleye, you will be highly missed for an indelible mark of honesty, hard work, transparency and prudence that you were known for and imparted into many.
Adieu, soldier of God. You have fought the fight. God grant you rest.

  16. Adieu, Baba Ojeleye, you lived an exemplary, Godly, quintessential life of service to God. You were a father to all your students. You are a legend, an iconic figure who had left an indelible print on the sand of time. Your legacy will never be forgotten.
Good night our mentor and father.
